Below is a guide to estimating seating capacity by square foot
Banquet Style seating
- If using rectangular banquet tables - devide room area (square feet) by 8. For example, if you are using a 400 square foot room, you would devide 400 by 8 which equals 50. That means your seating capacity would be 50 people.
- If using round tables - devide the room area (square feet) by 10. For example, if you are utilizing a 400 square foot room, you would devide 400 by 10 which equals 40. That means your seating capacity would be 40 people.
The figures above are meant for MAXIMUM seating. If you want a more "open" feeling, allow an additional 2 to 5 square feet per person.
Seating Capacity Per Round Tables
48" diameter seats 6
60" diameter seats 8 comfortably, 10 max
